British actress Sue Lloyd, seen here in a peculiar publicity still for “The Ipcress File,” has died. She was best known for playing Michael Caine’s spy-girlfriend in “Ipcress,” the first of the Harry Palmer spy pics, and Steve Forrest’s spy-assistant in “The Baron” TV series. She was also the least known of John Steed’s many spy-partners, appearing in a short-lived stage version of “The Avengers.”

Angela Scoular, the only actress to appear in the 1967 James Bond spoof “Casino Royale” and then go on to a role in a “real” Bond pic, 007 fan favorite “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service,” has died by her own hand.

Character actor Robert Easton, who sought to escape typecasting as hicks and dimwits by mastering dozens of accents and then became Hollywood’s leading dialect coach, has died at age 81. This ad for his services appeared every year in the anniversary issue of “Variety.”
